The Grey Shark
Greg Norman showed up with NO expectations and almost came away the winner of the 137th British Open.
Almost!
The 1986 Open Championship at Turnberry remains the only time in his championship career in which Norman has been able to parlay a 54-hole lead into a win.
While Paddy Harrington repeats at the winner of the Open he did so by shooting a one under 69. Norman on the other hand shot 77 - five over par.

Greg Norman
This is all to a familiar story with Greg Norman. One that myself, and a lot of other people including Norman, would have liked to see change. But it didn’t.
Norman leading the Open just has a “good” ring to it, One that brings back memories of the Great White Sharks glory days, his hard charging come from behind, take no prisoners attitude.
Greg Norman may not have won the Open today but he stood tall and gave players a chance to see that a man in his 50’s COULD have won. Good luck next week Greg!
