Senden in mid-season form in California Jan. 21, 2006

PALM DESERT, Calif. — It may be the start of the professional golf season in the United States, but John Senden is in mid-season form after playing the big events in his home country of Australia.

“I felt like I was in good form at home,” Senden said after shooting a 5-under 67 at Bermuda Dunes to remain in third place at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. “And I’m working on the same issues while I’m out there. So I’m looking forward to keep that good run continuing throughout this year.”

During the months of November and December, Senden was in his home country playing the trio of top Australian tournaments. All three of those events were won by Robert Allenby, but Senden was encouraged by his performances in the events.

“I finished runner-up against Robert Allenby, well, Robert Allenby won all three tournaments, then I finished sixth at the Australian , and fourth at the Australian Masters,” Senden said. Read More…
