Isenhour: Killing hawk ‘one-in-a-million’ accident

Pro golfer Tripp Isenhour said it was a “one-in-a-million” golf shot that killed a protected hawk and that he was only trying to scare the bird he now faces criminal charges for killing.

  1. What is truly sad here is the complete selfishness involved. We are such a self centered society. So what if the sound of the bird was disturbing Mr. Isenhour, the sound of the bird would have probably added to the boring video. The only consolation is that this is what the unfortunate man will be remembered for , not his focus of golf playing. Sounds like karma to me. Please respect all Gods creatures.

  2. Isenhour needs to be fined/punished at the maximum level. He KNOWS better, and deliberately tried, time and time again, to nail the hawk with a golf shot. And, he’s still in total denial! How telling.

I have red shouldered hawks in my yard all of the time and love them, because they are the only hawks that will eat mole crickets and lizards FIRST, before killing birds. The only sounds they make are a kiyearrrr kiyearrr call. They are very observant, keep their distance, and not aggressive — at all.

It’s sad and almost scary when you see people today that are so enamored with themselves and believe that they are above the law. They have to injure, mutilate, torture, or kill smaller animals — wild or not, to have victory over something in their life. The only thing that comes to mind is a disrespectful, annoyed bully taking the low road in life. Can we now call Isenhour a golf never-has-been, never-will-be?
