How Does Cold Weather Effect The Golf Ball
If you’re one of those players that has to play in colder weather then you need to know… how it is going to effect the distance the golf ball goes.
Golf balls are tested, and manufactured, to perform at their optimum at 70 degrees fahrenheit. There is NO increase in distance above 70 degrees BUT for every three degrees UNDER 70 there is a one yard loss.
Will this effect your club choice - probably not unless you are playing in 50 degree weather.
