Yesterday was the practice for the opening “Pre-Season Medicus Golf” AJGA Tournament Series. After the practice round the players and their families were invited to a reception were the rules of the competition were explained.

In addition, Tracy Lehneicker and Chuck Evans from Medicus Golf talked to the parents and players about the role and vision of Medicus for Junior Golf.

Players were given a “gift” bag from Medicus along with discount cards for Medicus products, including Golf Schools.

After the first round today there will be a skills challenge for the players and they will be asked to hit 5 different shots.

1. Driver - for distance and Accuracy
2. Iron shot - for Accuracy
3. Putt - Accuracy
4. Chip - Accuracy
and finally a Pitch shot - again for Accuracy.

The winners advance to the finals to be held at the end of the year. Stay tuned for more info about the Medicus Junior Series.
