Arrived home last evening after two weeks on the road and what a trip its been. I will possibly add more later but for now I will give this quick overview.
A. I arrived at the PGA Show with a short list of tasks that needed to be accomplished and with total focus and purpose I stayed the course. I had the pleasure of meeting most of our purveyors who will be partnering with medicus. Our party at the Portifino Bay Hotel met expectations. There were only two small hiccups which were Chuck coming down sick but hanging in there like a trooper and myself leaving a portion of DNA from my head on the corner of a limo door. With a mug as bad as mine it is even worse seeing these bad bandaids on me head. LOL!!
I had the privilege to meet; Joe and his wife who are the owners of TGM, Brian M., VJ, spoke with Ben to name a few.
B. Sunday - Had a sort of a hiccup leaving Orlando due to air pressure issue as we are on the runway to take off. This created a missed plane in Atlanta and the usual set at airport for over 4 hours for next flight.
C. Arrive in Phoenix and as Chuck and I pull into the parking lot here comes all these golf guys caring beer on their shoulders. Shall we say, let the party begin and this is how one makes a good impression.
D. Monday - Several poolside meetings with the gang and a chance to meet and get to know. I will tell you that this crew was outstanding and what a great group of guys.
E. Tuesday - Practice round at FBR.
F. Weds. - Class begins
G. Thurs. - More class
H. Fri. - More class
I. Sat. - More class and then the roundtable business meetings began. I was able to get us a side room at Arizona Casino and this is where Bobby Clampett met all of the gang. We had a great dinner and the troops seemed to enjoy the experience.
J. Sun. - More meetings and then I disappeared into the sunset because the urge I had due to the Super Bowl.
K. Mon. - I lose my voice for several hours which Sheryl and my family were happy to see. Dinner meeting with some other entities.
L. Tues. - Lunch meeting with Chuck and other group. Met several of the remaining crew to say good bye again.
M. Weds. - Go to Destin youg/old man.
Following is also a mini list of some items that were discussed and will soon be on the radar screen:
* Two flagship locations in US. One on east coast another out west.
* Medicus Junior Series with the AJGA. I will be buying Delta stock..maybe not.
* Proposal on table for Australasia. Yep, we are already going global.
* Soon to follow is European market. We already have a group that is interested in this region and is chomping at the bit.
* Medicus line of golf clubs in the near future.
* Online store
* Several partners in the golf industry
* And the biggie is that we have several instructors to aid and build the brand and the level of quality instruction that we will demand.
There is more everyone but this will have to do for now due to business in Destin requiring and demanding my time today.
I want to give a big thanks to all. This team that is assembled is off the hook. Words cannot describe. May God grant us wisdom.
